My Story

I grew up in Pend Orielle County in Washington state. I always enjoyed an outdoors lifestyle, gardening, horses, and being outdoors. I got started shoeing horses when I enrolled in Walla Walla Comunity Collage, in their Associate of Applied Arts In Farrier Science program they had at the time. We got under horses, learned anatomy, foot structure and function, diseases that plague the hoof capsule, shoeing styles based on breed specific applications, and blacksmith practice to know how to forge shoes and shoe modifications. I started classes in 2014 and graduated in 2016. I then moved back to Pend Orielle County to build my business in 2017. I have had setbacks, learning experiences and rewarding achievements. I enjoy showing up and problem solving each horses specific needs, and turning something overgrown or in need of attention back into the beautiful healthy hoof it was created to be. I serve the Colville, Kettle Falls, Ione, Newport, Athol, Coerd De’ Lane, Bonners Ferry, Chewelah, Deer Park areas of the great Pacific Northwest area I love to call home.
